Bono may be singin' in the rain

IF the skies open and rain on Wednesday night's U2 concert it won't just be the crowd left soaked. The performers themselves will quite literally be singing in the rain.
The enormous claw structure was erected in the stadium yesterday and as the 450-tonne behemoth was raised above the stadium ceiling it became clear that if it does rain, everyone gets drenched.
``If it rains hydraulic umbrellas come up from under the stage to cover the drums and equipment but the performers will get wet.''
More than 90,000 people are expected to brave the weather over the next two days to see the groundbreaking tour, 360 Degrees.
``It will prove to be the most expensive tours of all time,'' Mr Evans said. ``But, it will balance to be the highest attended and highest grossing of all time as well.''
With tickets ranging from $39.90 to $349.50 it could very well gross they highest amount.
It could also be bigger than the other big name in Australia at the moment.
``I'm not sure what Oprah is doing with her set-up but this is bigger than hers,'' Mr Evans said.
Fans who think they may have missed out on a seat can still get tickets to both shows.
